Matthew moved to Birmingham in 2005 after eight years working in London. Eighteen months later he joined Pinsent Masons’ banking team, becoming head of the team in 2009, when the team worked on some high-profile Birmingham deals including the financing for Brindleyplace as well as the acquisition of Busy Bees. Legal 500 and Chambers have since hailed the team the best in the region. Matthew supports a number of children's and animal charities and he coordinates the banking team's annual CSR day. He is also a keen runner and plays golf whenever he can.
