What am I looking for from BYPY candidates?
I am looking for a BYPY candidate that will make me sit up and listen. I am looking for the exceptional - a future leader of this city, not just in thought but in actions. Doing their job well is a prerequisite - I am looking for a candidate who has the potential and the desire to make a real difference to the future of Birmingham.

Why I enjoy working in Birmingham

It may not be the most popular phrase but I enjoy working in Birmingham because it's the second city - it's a city that matters. It is big enough for there always to be something going on and small enough that you can find out about it.

Thoughts of BYPY 10 years on
Birmingham has long been blessed with great leaders and BYPY celebrates the latest generation of those who have pushed the boundaries. The 10th anniversary is an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of previous winners and to consider the future direction of the good ship Birmingham and the kind of people we need at the helm.
