“I think Birmingham has it all. The career opportunities are on a par with London and there is always something happening.”
Anna Cartledge is a solicitor at Pinsent Masons where she advises on all aspects of planning, compulsory purchase and highways law. She acts on behalf of regional development agencies, local authorities, central government agencies, health trusts, developers, landowners and funders.
Anna, 29, joined Pinsent Masons from Bevan Brittan (then Bevan Ashford) in 2007 after completing her training contract and qualifying as a solicitor.
She first came to the city as a Medieval and Modern History student at the University of Birmingham before going on to complete a postgraduate diploma in law and the legal practice course, both at the Birmingham College of Law.
This is Anna’s fourth year on the BYPY committee and she says she is looking forward to organising the 10th anniversary.
When she has spare time Anna enjoys running and is also an avid rugby and football fan.
