Jackie Hendley

Tax Partner, KPMG and Birmingham Forward Chairman

About Me:
Jackie specialises in corporate tax, advising a wide range of clients in respect to managing and structuring their tax liability, tax risk management, tax compliance and tax accounting. Her clients range from owner managed companies to large multi-national organisations and cover a wide range of industries. Jackie qualified as a chartered accountant with a small practice before joining KPMG in 1990, after which she joined the tax practice before qualifying as a chartered tax advisor. She was appointed to partner in 2001.

Jackie was a finalist of the Business Women of the Year in 2007, representing the professional services sector. Jackie joined the Birmingham Forward Board in 2008 and took up the Chair position in Spring 2010 at which point she set out key objectives for the organisation of Collaboration, Networking and Reaching our full potential.

Jackie is very active in using her skills and experience to help and develop others, including clients, staff, women in business, local schools and charities. Some of her charity events include participating in ski challenges, triathlons, and fun runs and will soon be trekking the Great War of China in support of Barnardos.

What am I looking for from BYPY candidates:
Having set out “reaching our full potential” as one of the key objectives for Forward, I will be looking to see how the candidates how used opportunities presented to them to develop their personal offering, to benefit Birmingham and to put something back into society. In addition, I will be looking at what their future plans and ambitions are and what they are doing to strive to achieve these.
