James Knott, 30, works for Catalyst Corporate Finance an award winning international corporate finance advisor with offices in Birmingham, Nottingham and London. He joined Catalyst in February 2010 from PwC, where he qualified as a chartered accountant and latterly spent some time within their Transaction Services team.
James gained a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Exeter in 2003, after which he took a year out spending several months teaching English at a temple school in Northern Thailand.
This is his second year on the committee and he is very excited to be involved in Birmingham Young Professional of the Year which he feels is a significant event for the city.
Outside of work James manages his time between his young family and a passion for sport. He recently switched from being a semi-professional footballer to playing full back for his local rugby club, Balsall and Berkswell, but alongside this he is always seeking new ways to keep fit and recently took part in the 2011 Great North Swim across lake Windermere.
