Claire-Elaine had her eyes opened to the wealth of opportunity available to young people in Birmingham while studying for her BA hons in Cultural Studies and Sociology at The University of Birmingham. By graduation she had decided that Birmingham was the place to start her career. She attended the then newly opened College of Law on Great Hampton Street where she undertook her GDL and LPC, graduating in 2005 with a Commendation.

Following her studies, Claire-Elaine spent a year working to establish an in house legal function with the Pharmacists Defence Association before going on to complete her legal training with HBJ Gateley Wareing LLP. She qualified as a Solicitor in September 2008 and now forms part of their busy Property Litigation team and acts for local, national and international organisations.

Claire-Elaine is a proud Lunar woman and an active member of a number of professional organisations including the Birmingham Law Society, Property Litigation Association, Association of Women Solicitors, and Birmingham Future. Through the Birmingham Future Mentoring Committee she assists in co-ordinating links between Birmingham’s professionals and local higher education establishments.
