
Suzi Perry, star of Five’s The Gadget Show, is set to host Birmingham Young Professional of the Year’s 10th anniversary awards.
Suzi, who was born and bred in Wolverhampton will compere the event with a little bit of help from this year’s chair of judges, Michelin starred chef Glynn Purnell.
She is currently the only female presenter on The Gadget Show, which is now in its thirteenth series. Suzie has also presented for Sky Sports, where she covered Speedway, the Grand Prix and World Superbikes before moving on to the BBC’s Gradstand.
Darren Walker, an associate in the corporate team at Cobbetts and chairman of the BYPY committee, said: “We’re very excited to have Suzi on board for the evening and we’re sure she’ll help make the 10th anniversary of the awards the biggest event yet.
“Suzi’s extensive presenting experience makes her the perfect choice for host and we’re looking forward to seeing her and Glynn on stage together.
“It’s fantastic that both Suzi and Glynn represent the local talent the region has to offer because that’s what BYPY is all about.”
Birmingham Young Professional of the Year (BYPY) will take place on the 27th May at the ICC when young professionals from the communications, entrepreneurial, recruitment and training, financial, legal and property and construction sectors will battle it out for the title of BYPY 10.
This year’s winner will take the tenth spot on BYPY’s roll of honour, which includes Gary Taylor, joint MD of Argent, Karl George, MD of Andersons KBS, Chris Robertson, partner at Deloitte, Victoria Garrad, partner at HBJ Gateley Wareing, Stef Lewandowski, web entrepreneur, Ruth Ward, managing director of Rewired PR, Clare Edwards, consultant, formerly part of the Learning and Skills Council, Anthony McCourt of Birmingham Development Company and Suzie Branch, client services director of BHMG Marketing Services.
