What am I looking for from BYPY candidates?
A 'will do' spirit to accompany any 'can do' attitude, the latter will be taken for granted the former is the key to achieving success. I also hope the candidates will be able to impart a business 'sense of fun' and creativity, alongside natural leadership skills in whatever discipline they represent. Simple!

Why I enjoy working in Birmingham
Birmingham is very much a 'relationship' based city that is welcoming to all and will give you a chance to succeed.

Its why I'm still here, despite my Northern roots and a couple of stints in London!

Thoughts of BYPY 10 years on
I was lucky enough to attend the first BYPY and was honoured to Chair BYPY 2007. Over the 10 years it’s been great to see how Birmingham Future and the Awards have evolved.

I think now is a great time for the Leadership team to set a 2020 vision for Birmingham Future (or dare I say Greater Birmingham Future!) and consider how it can really engage with people from other organisations, to help shape and build a 'better' City and Region.
